DAVO’s new hires (from left to right): Don Petersen, Alan Fitzgerald, Cyrus Fenderson, Mike Salisbury

DAVO Technologies, a fintech startup based in Westbrook focused on automating the sales tax process for retailers and restaurateurs, has recently expanded its team with some new hires, including a new Chief Operating Officer and VP of Engineering.

The company has hired Mike Salisbury as COO. Salisbury was formerly with Quantrix, a company in Portland that provides financial modeling software. Coincidentally, Pete Murray, who joined DAVO as its CEO earlier this year, founded Quantrix back in 2001.

DAVO Technologies has hired Alan Fitzgerald as its new VP of Engineering. Fitzgerald was formerly VP of Engineering with CashStar and then Blackhawk Network, which acquired CashStar a few years ago. It has also hired Don Petersen, formerly with Kurado, as Director of Marketing; and Cyrus Fenderson, formerly with Covetrus, as a Software Engineer.

“DAVO has experienced unprecedented growth in the past year, which put us in a position to recruit such great talent. These new additions to the team are going to be critical in helping us achieve our goals for 2020 and beyond,” said Murray, who joined DAVO as its CEO earlier this year.

DAVO Technologies currently provides thousands of small business merchants across the United States with seamless sales tax cash management, automated filing, and on-time remittance.
