DataBlend LLC, a Massachusetts-based software company, has opened an office in South Portland.
The company offers a cloud-based platform that companies can use to integrate various online financial and management tools, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
The new office, located at 780 Broadway near the Mill Creek area, will serve as the company’s hub for software development and marketing. It currently includes five employees, according to David Phillips, DataBlend’s marketing director.
“We hit the critical mass of employees for our DataBlend team in Maine so opened an office,” Phillips said.
DataBlend was launched in late 2016 and is a subsidiary of Woburn, Mass.-based Carlson Management Consulting, which offers cloud-based financial services tools. The company claims it currently has more than 100 business customers, including Babson College, Root Capital, America’s Test Kitchen, and Seventh Generation.
“The South Portland office will allow us to enhance team collaboration as we ramp up the development of our DataBlend cloud integration platform,” Ethan Carlson, CEO and founder of Carlson and DataBlend, said in a news release. “We’ll be able to tap into the greater Portland area for talent as we continue to build our team, develop new connectors, and support our growing client base.”
